1. About this policy
This policy explains how Subscircle collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when creators and community owners use our service, and when members visit a community page or complete a payment. We aim to process personal data in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password credentials managed through our authentication service, profile image and connected Google account details.
- Workspace information: organization names, contact details, logos, community descriptions, platform identifiers and invite links.
- Member and payment information: names, telephone numbers, email addresses, platform usernames, selected plans, amounts, transaction references and payment status.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, request logs, security events and service usage data.
- Communications: support requests, feedback and other messages sent to us.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; operate creator workspaces; publish community subscription pages; process and verify payments; provide paid-community access; manage plans, members and renewals; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot the service; communicate service notices; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Creator and member responsibilities
Community owners determine what member information they collect through their community pages and why they use it. They must provide appropriate notices, obtain any required consent and use member information lawfully. Subscircle processes that information to provide the service on their behalf while also acting as a controller for account, security, billing and operational information.
5. Service providers and integrations
We may share necessary information with providers that help operate Subscircle, including Moolre for payment processing, Google for sign-in and cloud storage, hosting and infrastructure providers, and connected community platforms such as Telegram and WhatsApp. Slack, Discord and other advertised pipeline integrations do not receive information until they are enabled and connected.
Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information.
6. International processing
Some service providers may store or process information outside Ghana. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
7. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by record type. Community owners should delete member information they no longer need. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including authenticated access, restricted service credentials and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users must protect their passwords and connected accounts.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, object to certain processing, request deletion where appropriate, or ask how your information is used and disclosed. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Members may also need to contact the community owner where that owner controls the relevant information.
10. Children
Subscircle is intended for users who can legally enter into a binding agreement. Community owners must not knowingly use the service to collect children’s information without the authorization and protections required by law.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service, integrations or legal requirements change. Material updates will be posted here with a revised date.
